Grab your best mate and celebrate!

Friends…we all need them! Did you know that there is an official day we can actually celebrate our friendships? It’s called International Friendship Day and in Oz, we celebrate this tribute day on 30th July. So we hear you asking, “what should I do on this day?”
Here are a few ideas of how to make it special and also a wise tip on how to keep your mates forever!

1. It’s pretty obvious – Catch up and celebrate!

Why not surprise your bestie and arrange a great catch up! Whether it’s at a place that holds fantastic memories for the two of you, a brand new place to experience together or simply a DVD that you both cherish with some homemade popcorn! Life would be a horrible place without friends so cherish them and make them know they have made your life even sweeter! (Hey, a box of chocolates is ALWAYS a winner!!)

2. Too far apart – Social media is always here to help!

If you can’t physically be with your besties…the next best thing is a skype session! This time, make it a bit more memorable …pull out some old photo’s of your friends that you can share, write a daggy song to sing (the worse the singing voice you have – the better!!!) or just sit down without a time limit so you can really enjoy a long catch up session!

3. Send them something!

It doesn’t have to be expensive …we all know it’s the thought that counts so let your creative juices flow and send them something to say thanks for all the good times. Even though we all tend to use the social networking option instead of the traditional post, there is still something exciting about getting a surprise package!

Now, here’s the one good piece of advice to ensure you always keep your great mates forever. We are about to reveal one of the most common reasons why a great friendship can go completely sour…do you know what it could be?

Borrowing money

Sounds too simple doesn’t it? Sadly it is a proven fact that many friendships have gone down the gurgler because of borrowing or lending money to a friend. You wouldn’t offer to operate on your mate if they needed an operation, so you really shouldn’t act like a Bank and offer or ask for money. For whatever reason, something seems to go wrong. The money isn’t given back soon enough. The friend who owes the money is seen spending money elsewhere while you are still waiting for your cash. Sometimes the money is never given back as it was interpreted as a “gift”….the list is actually endless. So if you are in need of cash, or your friend is…please go elsewhere. There are plenty of lenders out there who are willing to help. Even if there has been blemishes or credit problems in the past, there are still specialized lenders like us, Fair Go Finance, willing to consider your needs.

At Fair Go Finance we really want to help you out with those small cash loans you need quickly. In fact, so much so, we have introduced our “Mates Rates” program! We understand that you need fast cash more than once in your life so we want you to know we are here EVERY time! When you have had more than two loans with us and shown how good you are at repaying, we will reward you with a discounted establishment fee and even a lower interest rate! Let us be the mate you borrow from! Good friends are hard to find. When you have a good one…why not celebrate International Friendship day is some way and say “thanks mate!” Here’s a great friendship quote to sign off with…. “”Where there are friends, there is wealth.”
- by Titus Maccius Plautus But remember…the wealth is in happiness not in the ability to borrow money!!!!!!
